Digital Printing vs Offset Printing

Digital printing or Offset printing, Which is right for you?

Digital Printing

Is fantastic for short runs and fast turnaround.

Technological improvements in modern printing equipment and methods have meant that Digital Printing has become increasingly popular. Over the past several years quality has gone up and prices have reduced considerably.

In digital printing, an image is sent directly to the printer using a digital file such as a PDF This eliminates the need for printing plates, which are used in offset printing, this saves setup cost and time.

Without the need to create plates, digital printing has brought about fast turnaround times and printing on demand. Instead of having to print large, pre-determined runs, requests can be made for as little as one print. While offset printing still often results in slightly better quality prints, digital methods are being worked on at a fast rate to improve quality and lower costs.

At Print Monster we specialise in quality digital printing on state of the art machines. This means Great printing results and super fast turnaround.

Offset Printing

It just gets cheaper and cheaper

Offset printing uses printing plates to make the image. There is setup cost involved but the production cost is very economical. Because of this, offset printing is the top quality – top value choice for large print runs.

We use state of the art equipment for our offset printing and turnarounds are still very fast, in most cases only 2-4 business days for standard lines.
